Our Mission
Enliven is a non-profit with the goal of bringing awareness to the issue of vaping in schools to improve public health. Our mission is to educate school-age students about the harmful effects of vaping to prevent future usage. This includes giving assemblies at schools (particularly middle and high schools) and giving TEDx talks. After giving assemblies at schools, we strive to set up a curriculum about the dangers and effects of vaping to educate students about the dangers of vaping and addiction. Vapes are not regulated by the United States FDA to the extent that traditional tobacco products are, and the long-term harmful effects of e-cigarettes are currently unknown. Therefore, it is vital as a society that we do not allow our younger generation to get addicted to these harmful products.

"Vaping is a massive issue in middle and high schools. Around 20% of all high schoolers in the nation admitted that they vaped in 2020 (based on a study conducted by the CDC), and the number of high schoolers who have vaped has progressively increased over the past few years. Now, more than ever, it is time to focus on preventing students from vaping in schools." - Abhinav Avvaru
